Tuesday 14th August 2018 saw Northamptonshire welcome a new style of dining experience.
Local company, Burnt Lemon Catering officially launched a series of pop-up style dinner events with a focus on working in collaboration with other food and drink businesses in the area.
Each pop-up dinner will be held in a different venue, featuring a bespoke menu to combine classic and contemporary cooking styles. The project has caught the attention of Filippo Berio which is promoting and supporting the events.
The first event sold-out within fourteen hours and was held at The Orangery Restaurant which is located at Delapré Abbey in Northampton. The menu for the dinner was created and served jointly by Burnt Lemon Catering and Magee Street Bakery.
Burnt Lemon Catering is a new venture established by James Peck, the business delivers high-end dining experiences across Northamptonshire. James, a former military chef served seven years in the British Army, then going on to work as Head Chef at several award-winning restaurants locally and in London.
The menu collaboration for this event between Magee Street Bakery and Burnt Lemon was simply based on a joint appreciation and love for fabulous food.

James Peck, Owner of Burnt Lemon Catering said: “These events offer something totally different for anyone who loves food and drink but also wants a unique dining experience. The events inject a fun and slightly quirky element into Northamptonshire’s food and drink scene. The focus is about working together to celebrate the great food, drink and venues that Northamptonshire has to offer.
This year we’ve run some pop-up events across the county to gauge interest and were thrilled by the interest and support. We hope to continue that success along with our partners for future events, look out for more announcements soon.”
