The colours of the court markings went on this week as work continues on Northampton Racecourse basketball courts.
Funding for the makeover of the popular sports courts was pledged back in 2020 by the former Northampton Borough Council and Sports England.
A Banbury-based company won the tender for the lights and painting work which was taken over by the new West Northants Council this year.
The courts were resurfaced and new floodlights added, but covid delayed the project final finishes.
Now on the longest day of 2022, workmen have been painting the distinctive coloured court markings, captured by our photographer.
