Two of the county’s popular cycling events return in the next fortnight after last year’s versions were disrupted by Covid.
Cycle 4 Cynthia is at Lamport Hall on Sunday offering 50 and 25 mile routes, then a week later on Saturday 25 the Solstice Ride for mountain-bikers departs from the Pomfret Arms with just one 60 mile (100km) route.
In 2020 both events published routes that riders could follow individually in their own time but this year the grand departures are back.
Cycle 4 Cynthia is one of the main fund-raising events for Cynthia Spencer Hospice while the Solstice 100 is organised by two-wheeled Northampton adventurers Mtb Epics who also create other routes around the country. The Solstice 100 donates to Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
