Local legend has it that the Saintly Thomas Becket was given succour from a spring in Becket’s Park as he fled the wrath of the King of England.
If he had been making his escape today he would have been able to stop off at Northampton County Beer Festival which is underway at the park.
Visitors can enjoy some of the finest craft ales and ciders available to mankind at the event which this year has switched from its usual June timeslot due to the pandemic.
