Saints made it three from three in the Premiership with a 40-22 win over Harlequins on the eve of the World Cup Final.

There was hardly time to take in the victory before all eyes were on England’s bid for glory but now that opportunity has passed it is worth savouring what the Jimmies achieved.

Five tries secured the bonus point win, two for captain Teimana Harrison, one for Mikey Haywood back from injury and two for Man of the Match Taqele Naiyaravoro.

Mr T looked confident and unstoppable. His decision making was good and Quins defenders were bouncing off him like flies off a trucker’s windshield.

There were good games all through the squad with the main worry of the night being Alex Waller being subbed off cradling his arm shortly after being subbed on.
