Two of Northampton’s best known pubs have been sold by the Richardson family.
The Picturedrome is a much loved music venue and bar on Kettering Road and is converted from a former cinema while The Old White Hart is in the heart of one of Northampton’s oldest communities.
The former owners have released the following statement:
The Richardsons Group is pleased to be able to facilitate a management buy-out of two of its venues by two of its managers. The Picturedrome on the Kettering Road and The Old White Hart in Far Cotton are being purchased by KDR Events Ltd which is owned by Chris D’alessio and Suzy Keeping.
‘We have had tremendous pleasure running these venues and would like to thank our customers for their loyalty and support over the last twenty and twelve years respectively; also, we’d like to thank our staff for their valued contribution, good humour and vitality during that time: they made the business what it was.’ said Jake Richardson, Managing Director of The Richardsons Group.
‘Our family business began in 1944 with a management buy-out and we are very pleased to offer the same opportunity to Chris and Suzy. We are aware of their capabilities and are excited about the future for both venues’ said Colin Richardson.
Chris and Suzy stated ‘We would like to say thank you to Colin and Jake for this opportunity; we are very excited to start this new adventure.’ KDR Events will take over the venues on 1st November with Suzy joining in January 2019.
