Over 2000 people have been ushered out on to the streets of Northampton because Royal & Derngate Theatre has been evacuated.
The press night performance of Kinky Boots had reached its interval when the order to leave the building came.

The audience was allowed to return to their seats less than half an hour after the evacuation, which was due to a fire alarm, was called.
