Kirk Asiedu looks ahead to the start of the new era at Sixfields…
Cobblers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has called for positivity when Northampton take on Doncaster at Sixfields today.
The Dutchman will be in the home dugout for the first time and he hopes the team will stay level headed and give everything they can as the game progresses.
āYou have to have dreams in life but right now I think we need to stop dreaming and focus on the reality,ā he told reporters when he arrived at the club this week.
He added: āFirst we need to get ourselves out of the situation we are in and then we can build step by step and Saturday is the first opportunity for us to start doing that and hopefully we canā.
Hasselbainkās men go into this fixture with four losses while Doncaster have won three in their last five.
The former Chelsea striker isnāt giving anything away tactically but is aware fans have been thirsty for a more attacking approach.
āI have a certain philosophy and I like my teams playing attacking football but we have to look at what is the best for the team,ā he said.
The game kicks off at 3pm.
