Sue Wright of The Hope Centre has announced that The Big Sleep Out 2017 could raise as much as £45,000.
The target of £40,000 – beating last year’s total of £38,000 – has been achieved but sponsorship money is still being collected and the total will rise over the coming weeks.
In an update to our story on the sleep out, in which The NeneQuirer’s Steve Scoles took part, a report went before Northampton Borough Council’s scrutiny committee this week estimating the number of rough sleepers in the town to be around 40.
Steve’s Just Giving page for the event is here.
