Anna Murby’s update on the Day5 Testimonial including a new way to add your support to the good causes…
He’s a beacon on the pitch thanks to his iconic headwear but for the cold winter nights ahead, Saints lock Christian Day will be switching his red scrum cap for something a little more snuggly – a warm, woollen, red bobble hat!
The titfer, which is the latest fundraiser in the Franklin’s Gardens stalwart’s testimonial year, has been produced in collaboration with Christian’s official testimonial photographer – redhatphoto.com – whose pictures are sold in aid of his two chosen charities, Niamh’s Next Step and The Leon Barwell Foundation.
And Daysy, as Christian is affectionately known, is confident that his many supporters will generously dip into their pockets to show their support in this most colourful of ways, not least because his two biggest fans have already given them their thumbs up; “When the hats arrived, my daughters Emily and Anna couldn’t resist giving them a test run” explained proud Dad Christian, “and they absolutely loved them!”
Christian’s limited edition bobble hat is now on sale priced at £15 via his fundraising website – www.dayt5testimonial.com – alongside tickets for the Carol Concert taking place at Franklin’s Gardens on Tuesday 19th December.
Tickets for the event, with festive favourites from the Northampton Mail Voice Choir and piano maestro Lincoln Noel as well as communal carols and some surprise special guests, are £10 for adults, £5 for under-16s and free for those under twelve.
Meanwhile the 2018 testimonial calendar, featuring monthly images of Daysy and his fellow players, will be on sale shortly.
