Following a smash-hit West End season, the tea-guzzling Tiger pounces into Northampton this Autumn in a truly magical Olivier Award-nominated production of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, which can be seen at Royal & Derngate from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 September.
Adapted and directed by David Wood OBE, Judith Kerr’s ferociously popular tale The Tiger Who Came to Tea is a Grrrreat musical play and if you’ve never had a Tiger arrive for tea, then this loveable production is the perfect way to show the whole family how to behave the next time one rings the doorbell.
David Wood is undisputedly the country’s leading writer and director of plays and musicals for children, whose many successes include eight Roald Dahl adaptations, such as West End hits The BFG, The Witches and George’s Marvellous Medicine; and Goodnight Mister Tom the Olivier Award-winner 2013 for Best Entertainment and Family.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea roars onto the Derngate stage for performances at 1.30pm on Friday 22 September, and at 10.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September. Tickets are priced £13.50* and can be booked by calling Box Office on 01604 624811 or visiting www.royalandderngate.co.uk.
