Historian Mike Ingram is offering guided tours of the historic heart of Northampton.
In medieval times the town was an important trade centre and a seat of government where monarchs took many of the decisions that form the waypoints of British history: including the trial of Thomas A Becket; the rebel nobles that prompted Magna Carta and the final defeat of Charles I.
Mike, who has been contributing to The NeneQuirer since the magazine began, spends around two and a half hours tracking Northampton’s past through the town centre showing what has been lost and what, against all the odds, is still there to be seen.
